Mr. Kofi Hewlett is a non-executive director (Technical advisory) at Assured Reliability Technologies. He is an accomplished engineering professional who specializes in Physical Asset Management, Reliability Engineering and Process Improvement.
With over 36 years in the equipment maintenance practice, he has been in the gold, copper, and iron ore mining industries across various in Africa. He has worked as a maintenance and reliability professional in notable companies such as AngloGold Ashanti-Obuasi Mine; Norgold Lefa Mine in Guinea; Mawson-West Copper Mine in Dikulushi, Congo DR; Avocet Gold Mine, Burkina Faso; Marampa Iron Ore Mine in Sierra Leone.
He spearheaded the rehabilitation project of the Marampa Mine which was completed on schedule as well as leading the implementation of Pronto ERP system on the mine. In 2020, he was the Quality Manager/Project Administrator for Metso-Outotec during the Construction and Commissioning of the AngloGold Ashanti Backfill Plant. The project was successfully completed within the time and cost projections.
Ghana. He has been a speaker at international maintenance seminars in Nigeria and UAE. He is a member of the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Practitioners (SMRP). Kofi is a trained Mechanical Engineer and holds a Full Technological Certificate from City and Guilds of London. He is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, a level 1 Vibration Analyst and a level 1 Infrared Analyst.
