Preston is a Non-Executive Director at Assured Reliability Technologies. He serves as the President/CEO for TBR Strategies LLC, a North Carolina, U.S.A based maintenance and reliability consulting firm. With over forty-one years’ experience in maintenance and reliability has analyzed, designed, and implemented numerous organizational improvement projects and change efforts for companies such as Shell, Unilever, Lockheed Martin, Mobil Chemical, Skanska, Bayer, Monsanto, Roche, Pillsbury, Corning, Toyota, Hess, Occidental Petroleum and Texas Instruments.
In 2003 and 2004, led improvement (Total Process Reliability) efforts across seven countries for Royal Dutch Shell. Has published over fifty plus articles and is a contributing editor to six trade publications. Served as adjunct faculty at North Carolina State University. Led the improvement efforts at several organizations that have gone on to win the North American Maintenance Excellence (NAME) Award in 2002 and 2004, and one that won the construction industry’s Fleet Masters Award for fleet maintenance excellence in 2004 and 2009.
Holds bachelor’s degrees in manufacturing engineering and Engineering Operations, and a master’s degree in Organizational Development. He is a member of the Association for Equipment Management Professionals, Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals, and the Association of Energy Service Companies.
